This industry is much smaller than city branches like Newcastle, so the selection is a little limited, but there are enough vegan essentials to satisfy the needs. As with all outlets, there are quite often manager specialties and a penny sale in the store where you can get some good deals. This is only on selected articles. During my visit I took a reduced Ethiopian coffee. It is worth visiting when you are in the area.

Nothing from the usual here. This is the largest British health food player and it has a presence in all cities, cities, shopping centers including the pleasant bathing resort Whitley Bay. On the back there is a good refrigerator with the odd down item. I picked up a four-pack of Alpro soya yoghurt desserts for 50p. There is also a bargain at the checkout. Otherwise it's pretty normal. Do not go out of your way to visit unless you pass or live here.

Aside from that, it’s quite typical. I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way to visit unless you're in the area or happen to live nearby.

Personally, I would rather support an independent store, especially since H&B isn't completely vegetarian, as they sell fish oils and whey protein. However, currently in Whitley Bay, it seems like H&B is the only option available. On a positive note, they are open on Sundays, which can be convenient. Their location is also along the main street.
