Food, price and service are very good. They accommodate my food allergies. The room is ambient and spacious. The tables are big so they quickly rearrange for families. View all feedback.
What Rita M doesn't like about Playa Ixtapa Tex Mex:
Floor falling in. Bad inspection from city. Small. Hot temperature In restaurant in summer. Went more than once. Just to give benefit of the doubt. No changes. Have never retutned 2022. View all feedback.
The floor is falling in, and the city inspection was poor. The restaurant is small and gets very hot in the summer. I visited more than once, hoping to give it the benefit of the doubt, but there were no improvements. I haven't returned since 2022.
I ordered the beef and chicken fajitas as the Friday special, but it took a long time for my carryout order to be ready—about 30 minutes. I wouldn’t have minded the wait if the food had been better, but as the only customer at the time, the quality just didn’t impress me. The rice and beans were bland, and the rice was overcooked and dry. The fajitas, both the beef and chicken, were the only items that seemed freshly made, but they lacked flavor too. The only highlight of the meal was the homemade salsa, which was spot on.
Everything is fantastic! Their pico de gallo has a nice kick to it! The food is always freshly made, and the chef is consistent with every order. Absolutely delicious! I had the chimichanga topped with queso, accompanied by a side of rice and pico de gallo. It was very good!
The food is fantastic, and the service is quick. The waitstaff is also very friendly.
Everything I've had on their menu is always made fresh, and is very, very good. And I'm picky about salsa and chips. Wonderful, although sometimes a lil hot for me, I eat it anyway and sweat it out. This is the go-to for Mexican food in Whitewright.
