Description

Nestled in a quaint locale, this newly owned café, Pepper Berry Cove, offers a mixed bag of experiences. While some diners rave about the delightful mutton bird dinner and exceptional service during a cozy evening meal, others express dissatisfaction with overcooked breakfasts and slow coffee service. Patrons appreciate the reasonable prices and a warm atmosphere, although the menu variety leaves something to be desired. Highlights include an impressive buffet for large groups, showcasing gourmet offerings that impress. Despite some hurdles, it’s an evolving establishment that shows promise and is a notable spot for coffee and unique local dishes like wallaby pies.

The woman at the restaurant provided very good service and made a delicious coffee. The prices were reasonable and the service was quick. I felt that there was a limited range of options for me, but we encountered the same issue at every other place we visited. It seems that they just don't get enough customers.

It seems like there is a new owner and the restaurant has been renamed. The menu is very simple. I would recommend looking for breakfast options elsewhere. We were expecting more variety on Flinders Island, but were disappointed. King Island had better options in comparison.

The eggs were cooked hard and judging by the sounds from the kitchen that was because they were cooked in the microwave. A little decoration on the plate would be nice. The coffee was acceptable.

Don't waste your time (snooze), we waited 45 minutes for breakfast. The new owner had no idea how to cook, or no experience with customer service. The eggs were hard and everything was over cooked. Just an all round awful experience.
