South Parade is blessed with 2 or 3 very good coffee/luncheon spots - and one or two very ordinary ones. The Station House is at the better end.The service is prompt and efficient, the food is a good standard (I had Eggs Benedict with a 'proper' sauce - not from a bottle) and the lady making the coffee takes genuine pride in her work. The cafe is a little spartan in terms of presentation, but it's comfortable enough a... Stopping bye recently for a take way coffee i was presented with two sizes, small and regular to choose from.At $4.70 for a regular size latte, i walked out.Take my business elsewhere. For what costs around .70 cents to make what a mark up, a total rip off. View all feedback.
I recently discovered this gem located across from the train station. The exterior may be a bit unassuming, but the food inside is top-notch. The menu is small yet filled with innovative and delicious options. I tried the vine sandwich, thick cut beef with sauerkraut and cheese, perfectly roasted crispy calamari, and the excellent roasted tofu with king prawns. Everything was amazing. They also serve good coffee, have friendly staff, and parking is convenient. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a delicious breakfast or lunch here.
During our visit to Melbourne, my daughter and I had lunch at Black Alchemy in Blackburn. It was our first time there and we were very impressed. The menu had a wide variety of options and all of the meals we tried were excellent. They even offer a breakfast menu during lunchtime. The service was top-notch and we will definitely be returning in the future.
This restaurant serves the most overpriced Smashed Avocado I've ever had! The portion of avocado was meager and seemed almost spoiled, paired with a measly piece of toast and three poorly sliced cherry tomatoes. The feta was served as a small cube, and the lemon wedge was filled with seeds, making it seem old. The "dukkah" topping was actually just crushed raw peanuts, not authentic dukkah. The coffee was decent, but the staff seemed too preoccupied to properly attend to customers.
Many choices of food and drinks. Friendly staff and plenty of space in the indoor and outdoor areas. Prices are normal for the area.
Have had brunch several times. The Chilli Scrambled eggs are great. Coffee is above average. Also has an outdoor area for your fur baby.
