I did not like your restaurant manager I think his name was Anthony it was on Sunday 14th. Maybe next time he could afford a smile he let the whole hotel down. He shouldn't do a job like that if he can't smile. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Spire:
We were staying in Mantra so decided to have breakfast on our last morning. Everything looked delicious, however I was wrong. All of the hot options were stone cold which didn't make sense because all of the hot plates were turned on, the vanilla yoghurt tasted sour and for the price, I couldn't believe what we were served. After complaining to the staff at the front of the restaurant, they didn't seem to care so we... View all feedback.
Was it the worst meal we have ever had? We are not certain, maybe there was another one that we have forgotten. To start, my sister ordered sweet potato chips and they arrived covered in an overwhelming amount of salt. They were inedible. However, we were promptly refunded, so we appreciate that. Now, onto the main event - a seafood spaghettini with what was described as 'calamari ragu'. We couldn't quite place the strange sweet taste in the dish. After pondering for some time, we finally realized it was pineapple. Pineapple in a seafood spaghetti dish? We were utterly shocked and could not believe it. We still find it amusing, as laughing is better than crying in this situation. Despite receiving a 50% discount with a Fork offer, the dish was not worth any amount of money. It was absolutely terrible. We will not be returning.
I had a great experience at this restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. The buffet had a wide selection of delicious breakfast options. I will definitely return on my next trip to Melbourne.
We used a Scoopon voucher for $29 for a full buffet for 2 people at this restaurant and it was quite good. It may not be my top choice for a breakfast buffet, but for the price, it had everything you could want! There were hot selections such as scrambled eggs, made-to-order omelettes, beans, sausages, and a variety of condiments. They also had pancakes, pastries, muffins, croissants, and banana bread available. My favorite part was the muesli, which had plenty of toppings to choose from along with yogurt and a fruit compote with large pieces of fruit. They also offered sliced bread, juice, tea, and brewed coffee.
We ate dinner last night and there was plenty of options to suit the party of 4. Breakfast this morning was busy (being school holiday's not surprising). There were plenty of options to please everyone. Overall I found it good value for dinner and breakfast. Suggestion is to book breakfast the night before as it is cheaper or to check out Scoopon (currently there is a deal available).
The food is nice though the price is on the higher side. Provide clean toilet to guests. Service is good and restaurant has a nice view outside.
