Edgewater - Whitehorse

If you're going to a hotel, I'm looking for comfort and good sleep can't say I had that in Edgewater. If it was only the oddly placed plush roll holder that sits directly over the toilet, but that would be good, the bed was anxious; it felt like we were sleeping at an angle and the bed seemed really short (my woman who is 5'6, her feet hanging over the end of the bed) it was really strange. People who blow their noses and snore from other rooms were clearly audible.

We enjoyed a brief stay in a double room on the second floor which was nicely rennovated with a large shower and comfortable bed. Points for having robes and nespresso coffee in the room. The location is great for walking around town, and view was nice, as well with all of the trees decorated in lights along the river. Wish we had time to try the in-house dining. Was asked to be in the lobby at 4 am for the airport shuttle, which was late. After nearly an hour wait, we learned the shuttle had broken down. This was no fault of the hotel, and we greatly appreciated the receptionist checking in on the shuttle ETA multiple times, and then calling us a taxi at no charge. Luckily the Whitehorse airport is pretty low key and we made it there without any concerns.

Instead of dining at a romantic restaurant, I decided to order takeout from Belly des Bison. It really brightened my evening! I had the tomahawk pork, steamed mussels, and scallops, and they were absolutely delicious. I even thought it was too good to be true, so I called the restaurant back to confirm. To my delight, they offered me a bottle and glasses to enjoy in my room, which was a lovely touch. The service throughout my stay was excellent. Although my day had started off poorly, checking in made all the difference. The room was clean and well-kept. There was a bit of noise from the younger guests below, but as a young person myself, it didn’t bother me at all. Plus, the coffee provided in the room was fantastic, complete with real cream in the fridge. It’s these little details that made my stay so enjoyable. I loved the leaf decorations on the ceiling—such a creative idea that I plan to replicate at home! The upgraded TV allowed me to watch my own movies stored on a USB drive, which was great. The walls were adorned with beautiful artwork from local artists, adding to the charm of the place. Overall, I was really impressed with Edgewater, and it has definitely become my go-to hotel. A big thank you to the staff for making my stay so pleasant and comfortable. I woke up feeling grateful for everything!

I have visited this restaurant three times and had a pleasant experience each time. While the rooms are smaller than those in southern hotels, they are modern and well-maintained. It's important to mention that most of the rooms are located on the second floor, and there is no elevator, which may not be very accessible for some guests. There is no room service available, but you can order delicious food from the excellent restaurant on the ground floor and bring it to your room. Overall, it's a wonderful place to stay!

I reserved multiple rooms at Edgewater for my family during a wedding we attended in town. The hotel team went above and beyond to arrange our accommodations and provided a cot for my niece. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive to all of their guests. The location is ideal, the rooms are exceptionally clean, and we will definitely stay there again.
