Thank you for the incredible 70th birthday cake you created for my dad. He absolutely loved it!

Visited with my family and the restaurant was full, i suggest booking a table. The food was lovely and really well presented. The afternoon teas were great with their sandwiches and cakes. The cheese and onion pie is a great option if you aren’t a big fan of sandwiches. The shop downstairs also had some great chocolates and cakes to buy. The car park outside is not very big and got quite busy and we found we were waiting around for a while for a space, other than this there were no issues. I would definitely return, the whole place was lovely!

The individual chocolate components were delightful, especially the homemade chocolate ice cream, but it ended up being just too much to handle. I was initially concerned that the cake would be dry, but thankfully, it wasn't— I enjoyed it until I overindulged and felt a bit ill! The cake was much larger than it appeared in photos, and while it was a substantial portion—enough for two people to share—I still find £19.99 a bit steep for what you get. One aspect I think could be improved is the hot chocolate. It consisted mainly of milk in a glass coated with melted chocolate, and when mixed together, it didn't have a strong chocolate flavor. Personally, I'm not a fan of whipped cream, so that wasn’t ideal for me; I would have preferred more ice cream instead. I wish they offered a smaller, non-challenge version with more manageable portions, as the experience was enjoyable overall. The service was also commendable; everyone was very friendly and professional. I booked a table online the day before, but there were only two time slots available: 10am or 3pm. When we arrived at 3pm, there were many tables open, so we likely could have walked in without a reservation earlier in the day.

The food was excellent. I got cheese and onion pie (lunch) and tried the chocolate challenge (which we failed dismally). The chocolate was to die...
