What Glennie Olson doesn't like about FIVE Restaurant:
pay, probably the 2nd best of sight on the strip behind the roof deck of the boathouse, but that's it. the service was quite slow for a lunch with only 2 or 3 other tables. the price-performance ratio is not there. $15 for a lobster bisque that didn't taste much like lobster and had no brot. fries with the burger were dark and tasted by fish, so it seems that the oil needs a change of too many fish and chip orders. b... crab cakes and sangria. might be the best i've had anywhere. always stay away from places that have hot wait staff because it's usually to hide the fact that the food sucks. not here. fried oysters were tits too. hope it's still here next year. View all feedback.

read moreA visit to this restaurant on a busy summer evening offers stunning views over Semiahmoo Bay and a spectacular sunset. The food, however, receives mixed reviews with some dishes like the clams muscle hot pot being done to perfection while others like the paella falling short. The wine list is comprehensive with great BC and international selections. Service can be a bit harried and inexperienced post-Covid. The outside dining area provides a great ambiance with views of the water and pier, making it a perfect spot for a nice dinner. Some diners enjoyed dishes like the Dungeness Crab and Creole Chicken, while others found the lobster ravioli to be lacking in quality compared to previous visits. Overall, the restaurant provides a hit or miss dining experience with a beautiful view and good service.
