What Steven Daza doesn't like about Cambria White Plains Downtown:
Adolfo couldn’t get me roomBecause ms who knows the one who runs the floor did not want to work and me go online just book a room and tell me she did a Passover whatever that means cost me aGood relationship and some dollars I plan on getting back 5 to 7 business days even after living there for more then 5 months View all feedback.
First and foremost, I want to commend the honesty and integrity of the staff at this location. Only after flying home did I realize I 'd left my expensive earbuds in our room--a pretty easy thing to just not find, which has been my experience at some other hotels. I called, and was told that they had already been found and logged. I emailed a shipping label, and had the earbuds back within a week. That was a great cap on a pleasant stay. The hotel itself is very nice. Beautiful lobby. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, comfortable, and perhaps most importantly: the water pressure is great. The location is also great. Steps from coffee, shops, and restaurants. And a short walk to the train that you can take into the city if you so desire. I would absolutely stay here again.
Stayed there on 6/17/2023, and arrived at midnight. The front desk clerk was extremely nice and helpful. I wish I would have got his name.
My stay was amazing! Juan, the front desk was very helpful with recommendations for activities on a Saturday night!Rooms: the rooms are always clean and cozy whenever i’ve had to stay hereSafety: Very safe area! Went out around 12am for drinks and got back to the hotel around 2am just fine and we were walkingWalkability: Everything is within walking distance. There’s a target right down the street along with many different food options
Review is for Choice Hotels who owns the Cambria. I would love to stay at the Cambria. Looks wonderful. When booking I was brought through the Choice Hotels booking platform who owns Cambria. I wanted a room for 2 nights. The gentleman was very dodgy from the start and wanted to sign me up for Choice Rewards. I was clear that I wanted a room and not to sign up for rewards. He started asking for personal information. Again I stated I only wanted a room. He said he was booking my room at which point I thought he was actually doing that. He asked for all my personal information including reason for staying. Then he said he had a room would I like it. I said great, but was starting to feel like he was just getting paid commission for signing people up for Choice Rewards or something. Very dodgy. I was nervous and said for 2 nights and he said we have a room for Friday night. I said I need both nights and he finally said they are booked. It was super slimy, super shady, super tricky and unprofessional. This hotel should distance themselves from Choice. I feel violated and have already visited a few complaint websites. Such a horrible experience. Wasted my time, stole my information under false pretense. Very angry.
