After all these years, they continue to provide outstanding service an... read more As a local, I've been visiting this place for most of my life, and they never disappoint. After all these years, they continue to provide outstanding service and delicious food. The family that runs the restaurant is incredibly friendly, which adds to the great atmosphere. The service is impressively fast, and even bigger orders are ready in no time! Some of my favorite items include the cream-filled donuts, eclairs, blueberry donuts, and, most importantly, the kolaches, which are the best of all.

For seven years, I was skeptical myself. Every city I visited or lived in, I searched for the best kolaches, but none even came close to earning the name. I trudged through rain, sleet, and snow in cities like Boston, New York City, Washington D.C., Houston, and Austin, always on the hunt for something better—yet I never found it. I even made long drives to sample supposed "world's best kolaches," only to be disappointed. I walked away empty-handed in my arrogance, not wanting to accept that the best kolaches were being made in a small town of just 6,000 people—White Oak, Texas. I admit, I was wrong. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Embrace the treasure that’s right in your backyard.
