While some may find the tacos just okay and the prices high, others rave about the flavorful dishes, especially the Carnitas and Baja Tacos. The atmosphere is lauded, with a dog-friendly patio and quick service. For those seeking authenticity, the restaurant offers handmade tortillas and a genuine Mexican experience. The Moscow Mule Mezcal cocktail, with a fiery twist, has gained a loyal following. Overall, Pancho y Emiliano provides an eclectic mix of traditional flavors and unique dishes, making it a spot worth visiting for both locals and tourists in Toronto.
We got hungry when visiting Kensington Market so we stopped here for lunch. It's a little Mexican restaurant at 200 Augusta Avenue and has an outdoor seating area. My wife and I both had Tacos de Carnitas braised pork served on corn tortillas with pico...de gallo. The idea that two Texans would have Mexican food in Kensington Market in Toronto boggles the mind. However, the food was very tasty, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We complimented the waiter about the quality of the food, and he gave my wife a coaster as a souvenir.
Great place. had the hot chocolate and mezcal. the lammbarbacoa tacos were delicious! the server were also great. thet was knowledgeable and very helpful. many thanks. we had a great experience
From here for a quick beer and snack during the walk through the kensington market. the atmosphere is great down here. (remembers me a bit in the old havanna) it was nice that they furnished a terrace with heating. tacos de chorizo 3 x 5 soft tacos three double maize tortillas filled with hardened pork, marinated on a slightly spicy guajillo sauce, garnished with pico de gallo dipping sauce. $19 and I have a stella artois pint beer to go with him $9. with drinking money and tax came to $40. (for what we have seen a bit steep, plus that came cold would have been nice when it was hot)
My friends and I went to kensington market and were really hungry. the menu of this place has caught our eye. it is a very small restaurant, not really decorated and kind of old looking, but they have a very cute terrace outside. if they decide to sit inside, the fans are extremely loud and it could be hard to speak to themselves. the menu is diverse, they have an item in the menu for all! we ordered the guacamole entree. the part was not big, but it felt enough for 3 people. the guacamole was very good! we also ordered the pollentacos. it comes with 3 small tacos in the plate. they were delicious, but a little small, which felt a little for the price. the service is very fast, and the waiters are friendly and can explain the menu points if they are not sure what to have. we had a misunderstanding with the waiter, but they were very nice about it. in any case they recommend this place if they are in the opposite and want to grab a quick bite!
We landed here the evening of our arrival in toronto and were not disappointed. we were quickly greeted and sitting, drinks came and our meals in short order. the food was so good! the maistortillas are handmade, ingredients fresh. I liked it so much. I went back to lunch (Shrimp-Tacos to die shopping. highly recommended.
