Kyoto House - Whitby

I have visited the downtown Toronto location several times when I was in university. The server at this location is exceptionally friendly compared to the other one.

The food was fantastic and the service was outstanding! The quality of the food surpassed expectations and the service was exceptional.

The waitress is very friendly and kind, but the food is terrible. The service is also slow.

I depend on TripAdvisor reviews. Sorry to disagree. This is an ok place for the price. Period. Clearly a favourite of some folks.

This is the worst sushi I have ever experienced and I'v tried some pretty bad ones. The person making the rolls clearly does not care, because the rolls just fall apart with no presentation at all. Tiniest piece of fish ever in each roll that were room temperature and tasted like spearmint for some reason. I am a 100% positive that this restaurant waters down their soya sauce. My sauce was not salty and was clear/transparent. I confronted the waitress about this and she denied it. Place was empty on a Wednesday night, I wonder why. I don't understand why there are a lot of positive reviews, maybe they have gone down hill in recent months/years. One beer and all-you can eat sushi was 30 dollars- what a joke. I guess its difficult to make half decent sushi when you just don't care.
