Contribute FeedbackMerlin's is a popular après-ski destination with a great outdoor terrace and live music. The nachos and burgers are standout items, along with the Burt Reynolds shots. While the service can be hit or miss, the staff usually make up for any mistakes with complimentary drinks or reduced bills. The atmosphere is lively, making it a fun spot for drinks and snacks after a day on the slopes. Located at the base of Blackcomb, it's a convenient option for a casual meal or a night out with friends. Overall, Merlin's offers a solid experience for those looking for a low-key dining and drinking spot in Whistler.
Yeah it advertises as kids it free and it's on the adventure zone for kids of the whole village but it's definitely not overly kid friendly. They had one high chair for the entire restaurant, and they didn't have plastic cups for kids they gave the adult glass ones and when we asked for a cup with a lid she thought I was strange for asking. So I let me kid make a mess with the glass of milk she gave us. Then asked for a wet cloth and she just clean up the table not the mess he made on himself from it. Finally got a coffee cup with a lid for my child. Also the half size nacho's are way more then enough to share. The kids eat free deal is one free meal with 1 adult meal purchased, just I guess is normal but the whole place was not kid friendly at all. Very dirty inside too.
It's a classic, locals go-to spot to get some food and a pitcher after skiing :) must go for sure :)
Great location and always friendly service. Nice too sit outside and have a view of the mountain or just watch everyone go by. Good food and drinks.
Great for apres on the outdoor terrace or inside. The Nachos are amazing. The Burt Reynolds shots are heavenly. The burgers are among the best you will taste. Jugs of Kokanee Gold disappear far to quickly. Family friendly apres.
I don't like spicy hot food. I ordered5-Star Pork Barbacoa - Toasted brioche, low & slow roasted pork shoulder & citrus slaw.It sounded plain enough, but I couldn't eat it, the pork was covered in spicy sauce, which is fine if you put it on the menu so people know. Barbacoa is just steamed meat so it should say if it's covered in a sauce.I have ordered pulled pork burger in 3 restaurants this trip and not one other was covered in sauce. It's a lovely restaurant, staff are great, just explain the meals a bit better.
