Nikko - Whippany
Nikko
Description
Nestled in the heart of the community, this restaurant has garnered mixed reviews as it navigates post-pandemic challenges. While many diners praise the freshness and generous portions of sushi and sashimi, noting the warm atmosphere and welcoming staff, others express disappointment at rising prices and dwindling portion sizes. Service experiences vary, with some guests enjoying attentive staff and others feeling rushed. Unique dishes, like the citrus salmon and Kobe-style filet mignon, draw admiration, but inconsistency in food quality and execution has left a notable impact. Overall, diners seek the perfect blend of quality and experience that the restaurant aims to provide.

Really good sushi and sashimi. The chirashi bowl is excellent, very fresh Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
The quality of the sushi here is incredible, and the rolls are significantly larger than at any other sushi restaurant I've visited. I've tried many places, but this one stands out as the best in terms of both flavor and service. The service was quick, and the staff was incredibly friendly. I will definitely be coming back. Meal type: Dinner. Price per person: $30–50.
The restaurant offers an impressive variety of daily special sushi along with a diverse menu. While the standard dishes are of high quality, they could benefit from more creativity and a wider selection of fish, along with a bit more attention to detail. The staff is well-informed and very accommodating. The atmosphere is decent. Overall ratings: Food: 4, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 3.
