Holy Hobo - Whickham

Great place to eat and drink, the cocktail menu is incredible and there is always something to like. the food is also delicious and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the service was fabulous. I would highly recommend this place to people, especially students with reduced process for them to eat and cocktails!

I had a wonderful time at the restaurant. Even though I am a bit older, it was nice to see the younger generation thoroughly enjoying their meal.

The was our alternative to visiting Beach Box. Staff were very accommodating for our group and the wide selection of drinks were excellent. Due to the excitement and reasons we were in Newcastle, we ordered the Shark’s Head. For £200 it was totally not worth it and that is why I have given it a 4 star rating.

I had a reservation for my friend's birthday at this restaurant. I called to inform them that we would be running slightly late due to transportation issues, and was reassured that we had the table reserved until 7:30. However, when we arrived 19 minutes late, our table had been canceled and we were told it was "lost". Now we are left wandering around Jesmond looking for another restaurant because of this terrible service. We are extremely disappointed and will not be attempting to rebook.

In previous years this has been an excellent bar, however, recently the DJ on a Tuesday evening has ruined its reputation. For the few years I have lived near this bar, Tuesday nights have always been a highlight of my week, however the DJ in recent weeks has totally shattered my love for the establishment. The bar staff have continually been excellent but the gloominess and inadequacy of the DJ has become too much for me to enjoy in way I previously did. I hope this can be resolved so that I can return to this bar, possibly by playing some more Nickelback and having local artists get involved.
