Y’all must be paying a fortune in your heating bills! No wonder why the locals kept the back door open with a chair.

I want to start by expressing my gratitude and respect for the customers at Old Munich Tavern, as well as a heartfelt thank you to the waitress and bartender, a... read more I want to start by expressing my gratitude and respect for the customers at Old Munich Tavern, as well as a heartfelt thank you to the waitress and bartender, and much appreciation for the owner of this establishment. My son graduated from the Navy yesterday, and we chose Old Munich Tavern to celebrate. As an African American, I want to emphasize that people shouldn't judge others or the venue based on appearances. My family and I were treated exceptionally well by both the customers and the staff here. In fact, we received better service than at many larger restaurants and bars. It's important to mention my background because places like this often face unfair judgment. Old Munich Tavern provided us with an outstanding experience filled with respect. If we find ourselves in Chicago again, we will definitely return to this restaurant. The food is incredible—better than any major restaurant in the area. You receive generous portions, expertly cooked and seasoned. The prices are excellent as well. I would rate it a solid 10 out of 10. Once again, I urge everyone not to judge Old Munich Tavern based on its regular customers. Honestly, I'd prefer to sit down and share a few beers with them over anyone from my own background. That's just the reality. So thank you once more to the patrons inside and outside this establishment, to the prompt and professional service from the waitress and bartender, and a huge shoutout to the owner. Plus, thank you for capturing a photo with my son and for the complimentary drinks for my wife and daughter. We couldn’t stop raving about our experience last night!
