I hadn't visited this restaurant in quite some time, so I decided to go for lunch with a friend. We started with the fried calamari appetizer, which was fantastic, and I paired it with a crab cake served alongside pasta Alfredo. Both dishes were excellent! My friend chose the grilled halibut, and it was delicious as well. The garlic rolls are amazing, but I recommend saving room and not filling up on them. Our server, Phillpe, was friendly and professional, providing top-notch service. Overall, it was a great experience!
Three of us enjoyed our meals—filet, teriyaki shrimp, and tuna—but my husband had a different experience with his 1 1/4 lb. Maine lobster. It arrived split in half with the insides exposed, which looked quite unappetizing. Despite being a lobster enthusiast, my husband rated it as only fair at best. It also didn’t come with shell crackers, and the claws weren't scored, making it difficult to eat. I’m aware that seafood prices have risen significantly, but everything felt really overpriced, even for Bob Chinn's, where elevated prices are expected. Additionally, our meals didn't arrive all at once, which diminished the overall dining experience. The ambiance feels quite basic now, lacking the charm it once had.
This is a relaxed restaurant specializing in seafood, steak, and sushi. They offer fresh seafood delivered daily, and the desserts are outstanding. Don't miss the garlic rolls—they're a must-try. While it can be a bit pricey, the food is definitely worth it.
Great classic place with seafood, chops and tropical mai tais say no more, order the fresh Alaskan crab. Fresh and delicious
We've patronized bob chinn's many times in past. our party of 7 was for a birthday celeb.. pitchers of mai tai good as usual, the pina colada was surprising good. apps were raw oyster and calamari, steak/king crab and alaskan king crabs, all good as usual. Laura our server in the beginning was not friendly, but as the night went by she appeared to have warmed up a bit.
