we ate at Mel's for lunch. I had the Monterey Chicken with sautéed green beans. it was great. I am from the Fort Worth area and have been trying to find a good Chicken View all feedback.
What Sharon B doesn't like about Mel's Diner:
Please ask your wait staff not to yank people's debit cards out of their hands to scan them. Really rude IMO Apparently she thought I was taking too long because I did a custom tip and gave her more than 20%. Two more seconds and I'd have been done View all feedback.
The food, ambiance, and staff exceeded all expectations. I have relatives in Wheeler and will dine here every time we visit. Definitely recommend.
Even those who do not typically enjoy fried chicken will find themselves coming back for more at this restaurant!
The server was extremely friendly and efficient in taking our orders. The restaurant was lovely and the service was very prompt.

We really enjoyed our meal. The waitress(didn't get her name) was amazing!! Pies were very good. Will be returning!!
