Wok n Fire - Wheaton
Wok n Fire - Wheaton
Description
A recent visit to the restaurant for a family dinner before a show at the Wheaton theater was a mixed experience. Unfortunately, the restaurant was understaffed for the number of customers, leading to slow service and a delay in receiving entrees. However, the staff did their best and the manager was understanding, not charging for any food. The appetizers, including coconut shrimp, crab Rangoon, and chicken lettuce cups, were delicious. The atmosphere and noise level were good, but some found the sweetness of the sauces in the Mexican dishes to be off-putting. While the restaurant was underoccupied, making for a calm setting, the quality of the food was a letdown for some guests. The margaritas and unique dishes were highlighted as positives, but there were complaints about changes in certain dishes and overly sweet entrees. Despite these issues, the experience was saved by excellent service from the front desk staff, server Carlos, and waiter Sam, who provided great recommendations and service throughout the evening. Overall, opinions of the restaurant varied, with some praising the drinks and service, while others were disappointed in the food quality and timing of the dishes.

This was our second visit and we will return to the future. excellent food with great service. we highly recommend.
Very poor service. esszimmerservice. wait half an hour to get our food order. they, where our numerous extradition order, as we saw and waited for our dinner. they should close there in restaurant service and just takeout.
The manager on duty that evening was clearly drunk. They were out of edamame and several other menu items. The restaurant was understaffed and there was no longer cable TV in the bar area. Instead, patrons were forced to watch a beach scene for an hour.
Overall the food was very good. But the dining experience was not. Upon arrival we stood around for 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged we were there. It was quite chaotic. Seated near a front window we quickly realized we would need to keep our coats on. The cocktail I ordered only half-filled the glass. The sushi appetizer we ordered never arrived, the waitress explaining that they were really backed up. The stir fry dishes were hot and tasty.
