I've been going here once or twice a week for lunch for the past several months, and have never had a bad meal. Prices are reasonable, the food is top notch, and the owners are very friendly. I usually get a shrimp dish and I've never had a bad shrimp either. They're always perfect, never dry or overcooked, and the size is good. If you want your food spicier than normal you can ask and they'll accommodate. I recommended them to a coworker who's a picky eater and they do their best to make it how you want. He loves the place as well. The only thing I haven't cared for are the egg rolls, they're a bit plain, not much in them. Definitely my go to place for Chinese food, and maybe my favorite lunch spot as well.
They provide quick service and never are irritated when I edit my order to omit certain ingredients. Very tasty take-out.
Basic carryout Chinese food. It has the common Americanized stuff you find at these places in a strip mall. Peking Chinese Food is one of several average Chinese restaurants in Wheaton. Has about what can be found in any of these **** holes. The prices here mostly are okay. Carryout is the only option for ordering anything here. It's a very tiny place. There's only a few chairs for waiting. Has about the kind of menu as expected. There's many of the Americanized favorites. It's nothing exciting. They have some choices for vegetarians. I got the Bean Curd Home Style because it's about the only good choice. It's about $9 for the only portion, the large. This has common vegetables like broccoli and peppers. Honestly it isn't that bad. It has pretty big portions. The food is cooked okay and there's a good amount of spiciness.
We have ordered from here 3 times now and really enjoyed the food. The beef chop suey tasted so fresh and not over salty and the sauce had a really nice consistency. We tried the pork egg rolls and really enjoyed them. The people that were working there were very nice each time we stopped in. We're ready to try more items on the menu and hope to make this place a regular stop.
Everything at this carry out restaurant is delicious. My favorites are the Shrimp Chow Main Fun and the House Chow Mai Fun. The Crab Rangoon is also very good. Their best quality is probably their consistency.
