The brisket I had was the worst I've ever tasted—overpriced, dry, and just plain bad. I definitely won't be coming back again.
The food is excellent and the staff is friendly! It's a wonderful spot to shop and either grab a quick snack or enjoy a full meal!
The service was extremely rude. The credit card machine at the gas pump was out of order, forcing me to wait in line three times just to make my payment.
I visited this restaurant to order food for myself and my husband and was initially greeted by a friendly, long-time employee who was stocking the shelves. When I asked to speak with the chef, she informed me that they were outside. Upon checking, I found the kitchen staff outside smoking and using chewing tobacco. I inquired if I could place my order when they were done, and I ordered gizzards for my husband, along with a chicken cheese steak and fries. Unfortunately, the gizzards were soggy, and I was concerned my husband wouldn't like them. The employee offered to eat them and prepare another batch for me. I took a gizzard from the box and let my husband taste it. When I returned to the counter, the employee literally ate the gizzard that I had just held and bitten into, despite both my husband and I having already sampled it. She then mentioned that a truck had arrived, so she didn't have time to make more gizzards. I asked her to cook them again, and she agreed, but when I expressed that I would leave the gizzards if I wasn't satisfied, she responded quite loudly, saying, "You ordered the damn gizzards, so you will pay for them." What was even more concerning was that when I requested to speak with a manager, she pointed out the owner, who had been listening to the entire exchange and subsequently asked her to go to the back. I found it troubling that it was deemed acceptable for her to speak to a customer in such a rude manner. I wasn't looking for free food—I would have gladly paid for everything. In the end, the pleasant clerk didn't charge me for the gizzards, despite my willingness to pay. Unfortunately, my husband and I chose not to eat that food because it felt unsanitary and disrespectful. The only positive aspect of the visit was the courteous clerk who apologized for the inappropriate behavior of her colleague and asked me not to leave a review, but I believe it's important for others to know about this experience. I would advise staying away from this establishment!
