I have always been fascinated by this restaurant since I was a child. The food is always delicious and I ate a plate with my husband for a good price. The waitress a little busy. View all feedback.
What Annette Cano doesn't like about El Paraiso Mexican:
Very expensive unless you get the lower priced items The music is too loud trying to a waitress's attention is difficult unless they are serving customers close byIf you like chicharrones in your burrito they are good when they're hot but if you take it home it's a soggy burrito so they just roll up the chicharron and fry it so it's really not the real thing... disappointed View all feedback.
We had went in and made reservations ahead of time , we didnt have to wait but when our server came to our table she had an attitude the whole time we were trying to order , we were missing a side of beans and rice and they never came we were missing our tortillas and we asked 3x for them and they were never brought out. She didnt get us any refills on and of our sodas . I feel like the only reason they dont care is because the tip is already added onto the charge . Other than that food is delicious
The food dishes are very rich and varied... The 3 friends plate... With the habanero sauce uff... something Friday eeee... ???????
I 'd be fine not returning here. There is good reason why it has so many one star reviews.First, it took 3 (three! waitresses for us to learn that there is no draft, or beer on tap. This is because the first waitress spoke almost no English at all. She got a second waitress, who still didn 't understand the phrase on tap . So 2nd waitress fetched the manager/3rd waitress, who was finally able to tell us that there is no draft/on tap beer only bottled beer. I believe if one is a waitperson at a restaurant in America, one should be able to speak English well enough to answer basic questions about what the restaurant serves or not. I had to Google, how to say on tap in Spanish just to get this question answered. I could hear and see the teaching moment occurring in the kitchen with 2nd waitress loudly repeating de barril and on tap.Food was just OK, not good enough for me to return for.One should never have to wait for staff to bring the bill to pay but that 's what we ended up doing. We waited for about 10 minutes after we were done eating before 1st waitress finally noticed our credit card in hand.Bill was brought, and 15% was automatically added to the bill ON TOP OF THE TAX. One should never pay a tip on Uncle Sam 's tax that has nothing to do with the service one gets. At bottom of the bill, it says something to the effect of If you believe the tip was wrongly calculated, please speak with the manager . So I got manager over to explain that I have no problem paying 15%, but only on the Subtotal, not the Total. Through the language barrier, I think she understood, reprinted the bill without tip added on. We were able to add 15% to Subtotal, which was generous for the abysmal service we got.Only 2 stars for Atmosphere, because upon entering there was plenty of ambient noise but not loud music. Within minutes of us entering, another party of 2 entered and staff turned music way up, making for an unnecessarily cacophonous atmosphere and therefore more unpleasant. There are sooo many Mexican restaurants for one to choose to dine at in Denver, and this one is checked off my list, never to be returned to.
This that spot you take the in laws and out of town friends.....
My wife, my son and I all shared a parillada (zacatecas) for 3 people it is accurate the amount of people it said it feeds it also came with a side of baked potatoes was very pleased, what disappointed me was no free refills, they also had charged me for regular glass of waters which in most restaurants its complimentary, we had also ordered a side of beans which for the price I was not pleased it came back and looked like a scoop of beans smeared clockwise on the plate I also had ordered extra tortillas on the side and received very few for a pretty penny , last but not least they fixed their own tip amount into the receipt in my case was $20 which I strongly believe a customer should have the OPTION to leave a tip or not in any amount they believe they EARNED.
