Tai Tong Chinese - Whangarei

After dining at my favorite restaurant, we discovered a revamped menu that exceeded our expectations. The new dishes were a delightful combination of old favorites and enticing new options. Each dish was bursting with flavor, made with fresh ingredients, and served hot and crispy. We can't wait to return and try more of their tantalizing offerings. The attentive service and complimentary rolls and egg custards were a nice added touch. This was the best Chinese food I've had in a while.

We are very happy! I'm sorry we won't come here earlier. There were delicious fresh rolls when we set ourselves. All ingredients were fresh and delicious. The crispy chicken was cooked for perfection. We also especially enjoyed the sesame meat. Just the best Chinese food we had in Whangarei.

Today, I tried the lunch special at Tai Tong and it was absolutely delicious. The quality was even better than their usual standard. I highly recommend trying their food and the newly introduced Express menu, which is only available for a limited time.

I am giving this restaurant a 5-star rating because the food is excellent and the waitress is friendly and helpful. It has a casual atmosphere, similar to a typical Chinese restaurant. The tables and restrooms are clean. The portion sizes are generous, as shown in the photos. The prices are reasonable.

Had dinner with my partner at the restaurant tonight for the first time and we were so pleasantly surprised at the fantastic quality of the food and the lovely service. We ordered a whole steamed snapper, eggplant with minced pork, and braised tofu with veggies. All the dishes were outstanding but the fish was the best fresh, delicate, and cooked to perfection. Ava our server was wonderful and the restaurant was cozy and beautifully set up the owners have obviously put some thought into the decor and ambience. So happy to have found an authentic Cantonese restaurant in Whangarei can't recommend it enough!!
