What User doesn't like about The Swann Inn:
The location of the restaurant is fantastic, with a beautiful garden where we dined in the sunshine. The gardens were really lovely. We enjoyed a light lunch that was delicious and enjoyable. The server who brought out our food was very friendly and engaging. However, the neighboring pub was offering slightly cheaper lunches, but I chose to dine at The Swann because of its nicer garden seating. Price is something to... View all feedback.
We have stayed in Abbotsbury after our wedding. We ended up coming to this pub 3 times within a few days. We loved the food and the staff was super friendly and welcoming! We recommend coming here for lunch or dinner. The lasagna and garlic bread/salad combo is to die for! So lovely. We’ve also tried fish cakes, tuna jacket potato, cod and chips, cottage pie! Everything was fresh and the cheese that they use is so delicious must be some sort of magic Dorset cheese! We couldn’t stop ordering side order of cheesy garlic bread! There is a lovely outdoor area, you can sit in the garden and the views are incredible! So much greenery and space. The interior of the pub is very vintage and there is a super cool collection of mini alcohol bottles and some photographs and decor makes you feel cosy, it’s a proper authentic English pub with tasty food.
A rather nice pub slightly off the beaten track. Food was good and hospitality excellent. Only reservation was a lack of staff on the day we visited. Only one very rushed chap working behind the bar, delivering food and answering the phone!! Service was sloooow but good.
The location is great, we ate out in the garden in the sunshine. Really lovely gardens. We had a light lunch, which was lovely and really enjoyable. The man that brought out the food to us was really chatty and pleasant. However, the pub next door was offering slightly cheaper light lunches, but I choose the Swann because of sitting out in the sunshine in a better garden. So price is one thing to look out for. However, what really annoyed me was the fact that I went into the bar and asked the owner where the ladies' toilets was and twice he looked at me and ignored me. Blanked me as if I wasn't there. So because of the owner's attitude I won't be visiting here again.

Couldn't fault the place itself, lovely food which was great value for money we had so much we couldn't eat it all! It tasted amazing too, waitress was a bit unsure about what came with our order but it was quickly rectified after we told her with no hassle. The Swann Inn is very local and casual but this suited us fine as we'd been at the beach all day! A few of the locals stared a lot when we came in as they didn't know us but were all very friendly. Would definitely go back for more lovely good for money food.
