What User doesn't like about The Pulpit Inn:
Booked through booking.com and we're asked what time we would arrive, but when we arrived the front door was locked, and we had to wonder around looking for a door to knock on.found a member of staff who ushered in through the back past all the kitchen etc and said that they had no staff and had to close due to a large party for breakfast. Wow absolutely vile place to stay the staff the state of the place I felt like I was in south America in one of the back street villages mould damp staff that clearly haven't brushed there teeth or washed in weeks litraly like a squater camp paid £100 for a night didn't stay left wouldn't give a refund keep the 100 quid depsrate horrid people back entrance like a scrap yard
This is a pub which is sadly going to be demolished for luxury flats soon. Fond memories having lived on Portland for over 15 years
Called in by chance. First two options were off, settled on Brie and bacon sandwich with cranberries. Well presented with a good salad and crisps. The building remains open despite an end of season deep clean and decoration programme. Slightly surreal feel, but food was good value for money.

Very quiet for a Friday afternoon. Beers on tap was good. Plenty of outside seating. Unable to comment on the food as the kitchen was closed due to the chef failing to turn up for duty.
