King Edwards Fish Chips

I Popped in to grab tea for 5 after a very hectic tiring fun first day here in weymouth. It was pricey! At £48 which it was almost double the price we pay back home £26). Also portion size was at least half what you would get from a chippy back home, but it is always smaller at the seaside so was expected. Food quality was good. Chips with scratchings) were lovely and we could not fault. Everyone commented how good they tasted. I'm told the chicken nuggets were lovely. The steak kidney pies were hit n miss as they were not pukka pies like most chippies sell, so they did actually have kidney in lol. I ended up eating most of the kidneys...yum. The fish at just under £8 was absolutely tiny. Easily a quarter of the size of my local chippy, so i felt ripped off.....however, it was absolutely beautiful. One of the tastiest and nicest pieces of cod I have ever had. I'm not sure what it is cooked in, but it was delicious. I wish the piece was larger, but i would take quality over quantity every time. I definitely felt happier after I had tasted it.....if only it was bigger. We would 100% return.

Busy sea front chip shop, ordered without any problems spending £40+ Received our order and left the shop. Once we opened our order we where short 3 cans of drink and a curry sauce. Total cost of missing items £7.96. No salt and vinegar added but was requested. Disappointed

Came in and there was 2 young workers behind the desk, very helpful and professional. The young lad mistakenly read an order wrong and put vinegar on an order , to which the guy behind cooking , shouted at him in front of everyone ....

Best fish and chips in Weymouth, probably because they use King Edwards for the cops and the fish seems fresh too. The kids bucket and spade is brilliant too! Staff are friendly, altogether a really good experience!
