a delivery today for two. cost over £50, that say aloo was like a stew over boiled poor taste. the chili-nan-bread was cold when it is developed by its packaging. the minze raita was such a strange green coloring that a child would have made it from a color box, I mean it could have come from a dr Who episode. the king prawn puree had three garne in a baked that was so wounded that it was also used as a sponge. the m... Drop into this local takeaway in the late afternoon, conveniently in a next road not far from weymouth station. they can see the kitchen from the counter that gave us confidence. the gentleman who served us was attentive, but the two men. behind the scenes have not recognized us, look with not a hazy of a smile that was a shame. they are the small things that customers feel welcome. I recommend to the house special curry a mixture of very delicate hen and king prawns in a bhuna sauce that burst with authentic aromen. the dish contains a hard boiled egg that had a really good texture. I ordered this with the lemon rice, which was very pleasant and small pieces of lemon, complete with cake and loop. the lemon gently tasted the rice without overwhelming it, although if they find the lemon pieces a little bitter, I would recommend another rice. I personally enjoyed it. Unfortunately, the lamb in the curry of my partners was partly delicate, partly chewing, so it did not go so well and the mushroom rice was too oily! we have a keema naan, perfect texture and generously filled. if I had scored this only on quality and taste of my food, I would have rated king balti 4 stars, but I have taken off a star because I have a problem with the alarming overdose of the food coloring used. the lamb curry was vivid orange, the oil from the fungal was an intense canary yellow, the filling of keema naan a very angry dark shrub red and the mint dressed a more vivid green than the highlighter I pencil at work. it was like a culinary interpretation of the Indian Holi festivities. I had expected that my dear in the night under the bed blanket shines! all in all, some nice dishes on the menu that could be improved only with less color and more smiles.
Good quality ingredients. covers all bases well. non-fat or over-impact with gravity. porathas weren't great, but most places aren't so much to make their time consumption while naans are cooked in less than a minute. would not hesitate to recommend this place to everyone.
We've used this takeaway several times in the past and it's always been very good. We had family round for a birthday and we all had different curries, rice and naans. The chicken tikka in my bhuna had a delicious char-grilled flavour and the sauce...was really thick and packed with flavour. It was the best takeaway curry I've had in years and the portions are very generous. Loved it.
Easily the worst curry We’ve had in our lives. Curry was a bland watery mess and the chicken smelt off. Parathas we’re similar in texture to cement board. Don’t listen to the good reviews they’ve either been paid or severely lacking any knowledge of Indian...food. Even my dog didn’t beg for the nasty gloop.
I stopped eating at this place some 5 years ago after I was told a Madras was the same as a vindaloo. I thought I'd give it go again as it shouldn't still be open if it's that bad. Wrong. Lamb tikka starter, photo attached,...was laughable, well it would have been if I hadn't been paying for it. Dry, overcooked, disgusting. Stuffed paratha. Photo attached. NO stuffing. Mint sauce, photo attached, really? How much dye? I would say food colouring but I doubt it, dye is cheaper. Keep away from these charlatans. I'd sooner eat my own liver than give these rank amateurs, nay, poor excuses for humanity my trade again. Liars and cheats is how I see them. If you're incapable of serving something on the menu, remove it. Easy. Keep away unless your used to cheap inferior food that's nothing like the description on the menu. Bile. Vile.
