Was Anonym at Thai Central a mag?
Ate here twice yesterday, had it for lunch and got dragged back for dinner.The food is fresh, quick and the banter in the open kitchen is always fun to listen to. There is a Thai mama working in the kitchen which I think is always essential for a good Thai place.The chilli basil chicken is my personal favourite but they do go off the reservation and do some malay and chinese dishes as well. I ordered from Thai Central today. I got the Chili Basil and Panang Chicken Curry for takeout. The portions were small and barely filled up in the containers, yet I was charged $17.50 per container. It was a rip off. I paid $35 in total for very little food. I won't be returning here again. I would rather spend my money at restaurants that offer better portions and value for money. We went to Thai headquarters for a nice meal, we went on a Tuesday night service was great, we ordered mosman curry and sweet and acidic pork with roasted rice, good price for what we ordered the crabcake and roasted rice were the hero. of the whistle in my mind.
My husband and I recently dined at Thai Central for a pleasant meal. The fried rice and crab cakes were definitely the standout dishes. The service was fast and the prices were reasonable.
I visited today as I just work around the corner it was a Work lunch. Finally a good down to earth Thai restaurant with authentic no nonsense food and fabulous service. Having lived in Thailand and most of Asia I know what I’m talking about....There were suits, Thai construction workers, a real mix of customers enjoying the food. For once the dishes weren’t overwhelmed with sugar and all the flavours stood out. Good serving sizes and if you want more chillies you get it. No wonder the place was packed out. Don’t change the chefs!!! They’re making great Thai!!
Clean restaurant with very friendly staff who take their order at the table and then meal delivered to the table. the meals were very delicious.
