Ex... read more Got there early and the menu was brunch. Told us if we wanted to look over dinner menu which started in 10 minutes. Kate was our waitress and was delightful. Explained everything and took her time with us. The drinks were great and appetizers delicious. The main courses were different and delicious. The mussels were great and done with tomatoes in a sausage out of the shells. Coffee excellent and the terrarium dessert delicious . Looking forward to next visit

This paired nicely with a bottle of cabernet from California for a West Coast East coast starter. As our entrees we enjoyed burgers with a choice of nice fresh-mustardy greens that were refreshing or classic and deliciously thin and salted to perfection shoe string fries. The burger is best enjoyed well done, I find. It has a deep flavor to it, somewhat gamey and is great with the cheese melted atop and the wonderfully crisped up brioche. It is a burger dream. For dessert the kids had ice cream sandwiches which pleased them.

I feel forever grateful that while on a trip to visit a sister of mine in Pennsylvania I learned of Terrain and visited that location. To my delight I learned that Terrain had a location right here in CT…and while a bit of a drive…well worth the trip to Westport from the Mystic CT area! I have never been disappointed…and make a fabulous day of it, as I did again today. The menu and service are exceptional. Just the best ever with such creative dishes! So good! And the gift shop…no joke wonderful…I always come away with something special!!!
