Hook Reel Cajun Seafood - Westminster

1st time and I think last time going to eat there. We had the calamari appetizer and 2 seafood boils. Not sure if the shrimp was cooked properly. Had a strange taste and would not come out of the shells. Lobster tail was the same way. Sat in the bar area. Our waitress that took our order and was Non Existent after that, even after we got our food. Did not give us anything to put our shells in. Never came around to take things off the table even though it was piling up. Was only given 3 napkins and she never came to see if we needed fresh ones. Then we sat and continued to listen to some wait staff sitting at the back wall complaining about work. Bartender apologized for service and was the one that finished my order and refreshed our drinks. Staff needs better training and needs to check on customers More Often!

Super good! Coming from the east coast, it?s a good feeling to be able to get some decent seafood! Crab fries were amazing! Drink (Cajun Candy)was mehhh; could?ve done without it. Boil bag was delicious! Right amount of spice and heat! Definitely worth the trip and will definitely return!

My mom, aunt, and I went here for an early dinner on a Monday night. We were seated promptly and the staff was nice. Our waiter was knowledgeable and provided great recommendations. Among our table we had mozzarella sticks, coconut shrimp, fried shrimp, Cajun fries, oysters with spicy seasoned garlic butter, fried lobster with lobster bisque, and a garlic butter boil with shrimp crab. Everything we tasted was hot and fresh. The flavors and spices were quite yummy! One issue I?d like point out was bathroom cleanliness was lacking. Everything else was great. The prices make sense for the product as we are in a land locked state. Overall, I would highly recommend this establishment!

Went to @hookandreelwestminster for lunch. It was really good and the server was very friendly and attentive. I had the Cajun Boil [1/2lb crawfish 1/2lb black mussels, 1/2lb head off shrimp, 1 corn, 2 new potatoes] with the mild original Cajun sauce and I added 1/2lb sausage. Everything was really good. Sauce was great, and I really liked the sausage. Nothing was over cooked and everything seemed fresh. I will have to go back.

The food here was beyond amazing. We normally go to joes for a crab dinner but we tried this place for Father?s Day, and it was well worth it. The appetizers were amazing, and the boils were even better. Plus I think you get better quality crab than most places. Will definitely be back.
