The server was kind but the service hardly existed. Was extremely slow. Seemed like the girls were more concerned about their phones. The hostess did her job was on her phone a lot too but put it down because she never missed a customer. The spicy edamame tasted like red hot with ketchup. Food is always wonderful! Front hostess were very rude. One hostess was on her phone when we were leaving and could barely look up from her phone when asked a question. Hopefully ownership creates the atmosphere that Happy Sumo used to have. View all feedback.
I am very picky about my sushi, but there is nothing I can say about this place other than WOW! Love the sushi, love the staff, and the environment is relaxing. Not the most lavish of decor but that’s not why you come here. You come for the sushi! I highly recommend the Mango Mama and the Samurai, you will not be disappointed! Friendly and attentive staff makes the experience very pleasant.
I always love the sushi! My fiancé and I always choose to go here on date nights. this last time we were there the server was very attentive but wasn't the friendliest. But that's okay, still love this place every time.
Great food and service, about a 15 min wait to be seated (weekend after Valentines day so reasonable) Great vibe for a date so mostly couples. Lions king (far right) was great although I have had it with a little more crunch on top at other places and the Planko Roll with jalapeño was really good too (far left). Calamari appetizer was cooked perfectly and not chewy at all so liked that too. Area is nice to walk around too before or after.
We've been to Happy Sumo several times now and the food is always consistently delicious. The service is friendly and prompt, and they have an extensive list of drinks to imbibe on if that's your thing. Good sushi in Colorado is fairly difficult to find so we appreciate this place quite a bit! Bartenders are also always attentive and ready to serve your next. Clean and welcoming. Excellent!
Here we go sushi in Denver CO, quick meeting spot turned out to be some of the best sushi in CO I have ever had. Owner stated fresh flown in. Well it pays to bring in fresh. The aspen and the avalanche and the Baja hands down totally worth it. If you are in the area drop in and enjoy some great sushi
