Description

Nestled in Westminster, SC, this family-run restaurant elicits a spectrum of dining experiences that keep patrons returning. Diners rave about the generous portions and flavorful offerings like fried flounder, cheesesteaks, and hamburgers, with many praising the welcoming atmosphere and attentive service. However, the quality and consistency of the food can be hit or miss, as evidenced by some disappointing meals. Long wait times for takeout further detract from the experience. Despite these inconsistencies, loyal customers appreciate the friendly service and community vibe, making this spot a local favorite worth exploring for its potential delights.

This restaurant serves the best fried flounder, juiciest hamburgers, and larger portions than any other place I've been. The diners here are always happy, and the owners, workers, and customers are great people. The service is excellent, and I recommend dining in for lunch. The price per person is typically between $10-20. Some dishes I recommend trying are the grilled vegetables, onion rings, baklava, double cheeseburger, fried chicken, hamburger, and cheeseburger.

I absolutely loved the Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches at this restaurant! However, one day I had a different cook and the sandwich was awful. It was overly salty, lacked peppers and cheese, and the bread was burnt. I reached out to the owner, who is known as "Mama", but she was unsympathetic and refused to refund my money or make me a new sandwich. She even scolded me for asking! I had been a loyal customer, buying a couple of cheesesteaks every week for months, but after this experience, I chose to take my business elsewhere. Mama's cheap and disrespectful attitude really disappointed me. The service is takeout.

I had a mixed experience at this restaurant. The jugged sweet tea was delicious, but the cheeseburger plate I ordered was bland and overcooked. The fries were underdone, but the macaroni pie was good. Unfortunately, the steak fingers I ordered had a piece of chicken in them and I even bit down on a bone, which was very painful. The steak fingers were overcooked and inedible, and the okra tasted old. I was disappointed to have spent over $20 on a meal that was not up to par. However, the young girl at the take-out window was very nice, which was a positive aspect of the experience. Overall, the service was good, but the quality of the food was lacking. The woman cook was very rude. My food was burnt her excuse was it was a marinade didn’t offer to re make it nothing that’s just how it is she said. She lets her employees work off the clock the waitress had been clocked out for almost two hours she said but they wouldn’t let her leave yet. She asked for help 3 times while we stood there everyone ignored her pleas. People would walk in and see the line and walk out food took forever to come out probably because she was busy burning the food. We ordered the corn nuggets those were also over cooked so much you could crack a tooth. The waitresses were great. I will not be returning I miss the old owners and how amazing their food was. Don’t waste your money. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
