What alberto zepeda doesn't like about Social Monk:
First of all our table was very sticky. The chair was sticky and the floor was sticky. The restaurant was not busy, so I don’t see why they wouldn’t of wipe down the dining area.Once the food came It looks delicious. I personally got the cashew chicken. And it tasted like tomato paste very acidic. I did not enjoy it one bit. I tried to add sauce to it and it still didn’t change the flavor. I tried to add rice to it,... View all feedback.
Get the Lunch Specials. Lunch Specials great price cooked when ordered. Rice bowls look good will try next time.
Good food, super tasteful. Think something between PF Chang's and panda express. The price is a little expensive but not overly so. Got the cashew chicken and drunken noodles. Both tasty but noodles can be spicy so make sure you like that
Food is delicious, the service was friendly, and the Vietnamese coffee- frozen custard Amazing! I've read reviews and complaints about this place that I don't understand. This is not typical Thai food it's East Asian influenced food, people are complaining that's it's not like mom and pop shop Thai food, but they're not claiming to be mom and pop Thai food. They're great for take out and carryout it gets busy at lunch time for that reason, but other than that I've always been able to find a seat.
This is a great Asian fusion with dishes from Thailand, Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese. We had ordered Dan Dan noodles, Drunken noodles, Pork dish with rice, and Short Ribs with rice. For dessert, we had the Vietnamese coffee soft serve and Corn flakes soft serve. The dishes were delicious although I thought that there was only a few pieces of meat in the short ribs dish. The Dan Dan noodles was tasty but was a bit much on the sweet side. Update: We had the drunken noodles and the chicken super green bowl. Delicious!!
We missed Rock Sugar in Century City and were happy to find many of our favorites here. One suggestion... Bring back samosas!
