Chiba - Westfield
Chiba
Description
Tucked into a converted house with a lively patio and live music, this neighborhood sushi spot dazzles with fresh sashimi, strong cocktails and attractive presentation. Experiences vary: attentive, friendly staff and a warm, community-minded ownership contrast with slow service at times and inconsistent food—bland rice, underseasoned dishes and a few overpriced items. Charming for date nights and outdoor gatherings, but families with infants should note limited baby facilities.

Feedback
I absolutely love this sushi restaurant! The food is fantastic, and the staff is friendly, creating a comfortable atmosphere. Dining outside is one of my favorite experiences here. Thank you for everything!
The food was disappointing. This was my second visit, and unfortunately, both times the quality was lacking. Paying $28 for a roll made with imitation crab meat feels excessive. Additionally, the restaurant isn't kid-friendly; there's no changing table for young children.
The food was good. I tried a roll packed with jalapeños that was a bit too spicy for my taste buds. The back patio was beautiful. Our table was near the northwest fence line. It was too hot outside in the heat wave for us to be comfortable and there were lots of little sweat bees. Would go back again in better weather
The atmosphere is fantastic, the service is excellent, and the owners really care. I would highly recommend it for a relaxed date night—definitely a 10/10!
Wonderful little spot, had birthday dinner on their back deck and everything was fantastic. Service was friendly and attentive, nice selection of beverages and dinner was spot on. My wife had chicken katsu which she enjoyed (and has had at other similar restaurants as she’s not a sushi eater). My sushi entree was perfectly executed. Presentation was ??, sticky rice had the perfect texture and consistency and here’s the key—the fish was the perfect temperature. This allows the full flavor to come through. Ambiance was great. This part of the feedback has NOTHING to do with Chiba but Westfield has to figure out and communicate parking if this area, adjacent to the Grand Junction Park, is going to be a/the hub of the city. Other than that we had a great experience.
