Outstanding BBQ! The smoked meat was absolutely perfect. The brisket was tender and flavorful, while the pulled pork was simply amazing. I particularly loved the hot compound, which had just the right balance of flavor and spice. We sampled all four sauces, and the sweet one was my favorite; it complemented the pork beautifully. We also enjoyed the mac and cheese, beans, and split taters, and everything was fantastic... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Ray Ray's Hog Pit Westerville:
I had been wanting to try Ray Ray Ray after passing by it every day. I ordered the brisket sandwich, which turned out to be quite dry, and they only added a tablespoon of barbecue sauce on top. The sauce itself was sweet and tasty, but the portion was inadequate. The tater tots were just average, while the mac and cheese was better than what I’ve had at City Barbecue, but still not impressive. I only managed to eat a... View all feedback.
I wasn't ready. I have the baby ribs, mac n cheese, cranked greens and baked beans. Never been here before, thought it was like all the other BBQ places, boy I was wrong. My mother is from Texas and my father is from Louisiana, and I know how to cook well, but these greens are probably the best I ever had. Mac and cheese are just as good as the baked beans. I do not think able to sow the ribs while cooking makes a difference, but the sides blow away me. Can I just buy a whole pot of ties, please lol. Waiting is kind of long, but the food is definitely worth it.
If you enjoy being the first car in line for lunch and hit this place, don't worry in 15+ minutes they can make a sandwich and side of coleslaw well one will while 2 others talk and stand motionless) then have the audacity to ask you if you need napkins and plastic warehouse from a BBQ restaurant?!?!?! While overpriced and not as good as it was when they first opened I'd avoid this place unless you want to see slugs work.
Amazing BBQ place in a great location. I had the pulled pork sandwich, mac and cheese, and collared greens. The pork was so tender and had an excellent flavor, the mac and cheese was creamy and delicious, and the greens had a little kick but very good.
The sausage sandwich was the worst for the $10.00 it cost. Bread was sliced in to, not a bun and had minimal condiments. There were about 4 small chunks of onion a small squirt of mustard and something that Resembled a pickle slice. The sausage was extremely dry. Glad I brought it home where I could add more mustard. No desire to go back.
This gets full marks for quality, but they are pricey. $15 for a brisket sandwich seems a bit much even if it is one of the best briskets I've ever had. And of course they're carryout only, so it's not like you're paying for the ambiance. The $3 brownie was a relative bargain. It was good, but not as much of a wow as the brisket. But that's as it should be for a BBQ place.
