A very nice little restaurant just of the main road through town. The Vetkoeks were excellent as were the belgian waffles and potato skins. The steaks were good and well prepared. Service was great and the prices were very reasonable. If there was a negative it was that with “Karoo” in the name we really expected some lamb options. View all feedback.
What Rinkels doesn't like about Knus Karoo Kombuis:
Good location with potential, service is horrible though. Arrived at restaurant, had to walk around and look for someone to serve us. Service was slow, owner and waiters seemed more interested in drinking and smoking, then to clear tables. They had loadshedding at the time of our arrival so I can't comment on food but the coffee was perfect. This is our second stop here and the service remains good. The atmosphere good and the stories interesting. A must stop on the way to the sea.
We stayed in guesthouse. If you go to Uniondale, this is the place to stay. The owner is friendly, rooms very clean and breakfast serve with home made bread and marmalade. We enjoy our stay.
Awesome breakfasts, great coffee and very nice hosts. This place also has a wide range of gifts, cakes, trinkets and home made preserves
Every time I'm in uniondale I'll eat breakfast aat these guys real value for money and authentic south African place where u feel at home
Great roosterkoek, friendly owners and pet friendly with dog treats. Will definitely pop in when passing this way again.
