What a disappointment. Booked online for 10 people earlier in the week (so its not like they didn't know we were coming) we arrived at 13h00 by 15h00 we had still not received our food. Staff were friendly but it seemed obvious that they lacked management and extra staff, It seemed that the waitresses had to cook the food, serve the table, do wine tasting and manage the reception. Superb Colombar and Chenin. Bistro serves delicious charcuterie platters. Loved the mature chedder
Lovely deli just outside Bonnievale which has an extensive and reasonable menu. The roasted chicken salad was excellent and the portion was large. Excellent service and a lovely view of nearby vineyards.
We enjoyed a wine tasting and lunch. The food was good. The wines are lovely, service was good.
Great views, BUT the pizzas are shockingly bad. When the tomato paste base is so freeze dried it presents as rusty coloured “stain” on the dpugh, then you know you are having defrosted bases dressed up with avo and rocket. PS: My daughter found her chicken salad acceptable.
