Today, I visited this restaurant for the first time with my two sons. The grinders we ordered were fantastic. I had the WPD grinder and it was absolutely delicious. My sons had the chopper and a steak and cheese grinder, and couldn't stop talking about how great they were. The steak and cheese grinders were particularly tasty. We will definitely be coming back and will be recommending Hometown Heroes to others. View all feedback.
Been twice now and everything has been delicious. We usually go to DAngelos for the steak and cheese there but definitely not anymore now that we have had a Hometown Heroes philly! The meat was great quality, not fatty at all. Highly recommend it.
Went for lunch with my son to find fantastic food with friendly service! Looking forward to to going back again soon!
We ordered the WPD salad and ITS THE BEST SALAD IN TOWN!! It came with balsamic dressing which complimented the very fresh mixed greens. The crispy chicken was cooked to perfection and the fried eggplant, omg! better than my sister in laws (don't tell her) And the bonus: their own mozzarella dotted the top. we had a choice of dressings so we tried the ranch and blue cheese, all three equally restaurant quality. They took no shortcuts with this, worth every penny. When this gets out there will be lines out the door! And you can get WPD in grinder form also a winner!
Was on another day and tried the Steak-Ubere. I am not a big fan of thick brot, so when I saw that I had it over pommes, I was excited. was delicious and filling. the staff was super and very relaxed. can't wait to try the heckflap on the fraught next time. if they haven't tried this hidden gem, I suggest that they'll do plans very soon.
I work at a local business in Westerly and we get takeout for lunch quite often. We were all getting tired of the same things over and over. When Home Time Hero's opened we jumped on the chance to try something new. Well, we did, and now it is basically one of our FAVORITE GO TO PLACES for our lunch!!! The sandwiches are awesome!! We haven't tried them all, with so many different options, but we haven't been disappointed yet.
