Tried the Chicken Shawarma Plate today. It was amazing. The staff are so so friendly. This tiny little place was such a great surprise to stumble into on this dreary, rainy day! View all feedback.
What Layth Talal doesn't like about Istanbul And Bakery:
I had an absolutely terrible experience at this restaurant. After waiting for a whopping 2 hours, my order still hadn't been prepared . Not only that, but the service was incredibly rude and unapologetic about the delay. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Save your time and money and go somewhere else! Tried the Falafel plate and loved every bit of it, their baklava was fantastic. Would highly recommend them.
This place is one of my favorite places to eat in all of Maine. The people are great, The menu's awesome (a little pricey but worth it), and they have some things made beforehand that you can grab out of the fridge too. They make the best hummus around; baklava also. I seriously love this place!
My experience at this restaurant was truly awful. Despite waiting for a full 2 hours, my order remained unprepared. To make matters worse, the service I received was shockingly impolite and showed no remorse for the delay. I wouldn’t suggest this establishment to anyone, not even my worst foe. It’s best to invest your time and money elsewhere.
My first disappointing experience with Turkish food. We ordered takeout, and it was no where near what we were expecting. The lamb plate had barely any meat in it and half the pieces were gristle. Paying $21 for 6 small pieces of burnt lamb with a pound of rice is unreasonable. Everything else was underseasoned. The only redeeming part was the baba ganoush after we heated it up. It might be better dining in, but I'll never order takeout again
I don't think so this places turkish restaurants all menu Arabic kitchen
