Charlie's Pub - West Virginia

Great little pub. They had 2 pool tables and a pretty large bar, although the area around the bar is a little tight. Ian (hope I spelled that right) was a great bartenders and his family has owned the bar for 35 years if I remember correctly. So that's pretty cool! Started good, but owner seems to think some STOLEN VALOR “army veteran” owns the rights to the bar. Us Marines on a bachelor party got kicked out just having a conversation with this guy (must be a regular) just asking what province he was at to prove he was a fake or not (we could tell by the way he was talking). Went there 2 out of 3 nights in area. Friendly people, great service and THE best pickle shot I’ve ever had!

Always a classic!! If you are rafting in WV. You need to stop by.

Solid bar with a great outdoor space. A staple of the Fayetteville area for many years.
