This review is more of a shout out to Chef Nigel. He and the Troller Pub provided food and his chef skills to a charity event on the dock last night. Chef Nigel killed it, food was awesome and he was a class act when the stress of serving 360 people started to kick in. Thank you Chef Nigel, thank you. What User doesn't like about Troller Ale House:
My rating is solely based on food I ordered - Yorkshire Pudding. I will not order that again. Eating at English (Irish?) Pub made me want to eat something English while I heard myself say not to do it; I should not have. My daughter said this place has good food and I believe her but not Yorkshire Pudding. I will go back there again and try another dish and will rate (maybe better) again. View all feedback.
Delicious dishes but a bit pricey for these small portions. Decent service. Lovely view at patio.
They don’t serve food in the evenings. Why not just keep the kitchen going with this many late ferry delays. More money and more happy customers.
Clean and organized. Good prices. Good service and great view of harbor and ferry dock. RecommendParking: There are pay lots but they fill up fast with walk on ferry passengers.
The Ale house wasn't busy, but the patio server seemed distracted and was quite forgetful. Other staff members were delivering her orders but hadn't been directed where to go. So they were asking every individual on the patio.Simple fix, assign numbers to tables and seats and have them printed on receipt slips to prevent this from happening.Also the sand patio glass is filthy, covered in food and beer splater... Perhaps someone could pickup a washcloth in their free time....
Fish taco used to be so good. Just had some. It was tiny. And extremly spicy.Also I asked for the fish taco salad from the menu and they did not have it. So why is it on the menu (here online)Food was picked up my hubby, and he was told there is no such thing as fish taco salad, but it is on the menu here on Google.....DisappointedNote: my husband loves their fried calamar.
