Despite some disappointments with the food temperature, the friendly staff and pleasant location compensated. Service was prompt and accommodating, while dishes like the prawns, Spaghetti Bolognese, and vegetarian poutine were highlights. Despite the slightly higher prices, the overall experience was worth it for travelers seeking a relaxing meal after exploring Stanley Park. The restaurant's proximity to the aquarium and accessibility to various means of transportation make it a convenient choice for a satisfying dining experience.
After strolling through Stanley Park we came to this lovely building. The gardens are really beautiful and well worth a visit.
Service was very friendly and not slow. Our waiter acknowledged us and said he'd be right back- had to help a few tables with checks; he did return promptly and service was good! A wonderful surprise was they offered half portions for seniors! Usually we share a dish, so this was great news.
Dinner for a special occasion with 12 people. The server John was pleasant but the food was not up to expectation. 4 of us ordered the sirloin burger, the bun was so dry we were choking! More like a crouton on an overcooked, bland piece of frozen hamburger. One washroom which was terribly dirty. There were fries, napkins, and dropped food underneath our table. The wine was severely overpriced! $11.oo for a single glass. I am disappointed, with how bad this place was. We were not offered desert, or coffee at the end of our meal. There are a MILLION other places to go and this will not be one I recommend to out of town guests. Stanley Park is beautiful to wander through....Go elsewhere to eat.
We had a great lunch on the patio of the restaurant in the Pavilion. Beautiful location. Food was good as was the service.
We attended a wedding here and loved this venue. The ceremony was outdoors on the lawn surrounded by aromatic gardens that attracted bumble bees, dragonflies and butterflies. If you melt in the sun, take a small umbrella and sit at the back - no canopies. Inside space was light and roomy with plenty of cocktail tables to rest drinks and appetizers. Wait staff at the bar and food service was very good. Food was tasty and nicely presented. Wedding was around 100 people, and the hall easily accommodated the dinner seating and dance space. Parking was a little 'iffy' so if driving, give yourself extra time to find a spot.
