Don't judge a book by its cover. This place is the real deal. I ordered To-Go and the food was delicious. The shank kabuli was incredibly tender and the kebabs were top-notch. I will definitely be returning. View all feedback.

This restaurant is a small and crowded space with only six tables. It has the potential to be impressive with some updates, but the service, wait times, food quality, presentation, and atmosphere are all just average. View all feedback.
We had a delicious dinner at Kabul Kitchen. The lamb kabob and qabili palow were both very tasty. Many thanks to Baz Mohammad for his friendly hospitality.

I was casually browsing for new halal restaurants in my area when I stumbled upon Kabul Kitchen. It is located inside Halal Market, which is now owned by Afghans. Although I usually go there for Halal meat, I decided to try their new restaurant. I placed an order for pickup through the Grubhub app as we planned to eat at the park. The menu options were limited, so we opted for the Chicken Kabob and Lamb Kabob with pallow rice, naan bread, salad, and chutney. The food was decent, but I've had better Afghan cuisine before. The portions were on the smaller side and the meat could have been more flavorful. The chutney was bitter and the overall meal was a bit dry. I had requested white sauce but only received chutney (perhaps they don't have it yet). The complimentary naan bread was a nice touch, but we had too many carbs and not enough protein. However, the customer service was excellent. The staff were some of the friendliest people I've encountered and even offered me a free drink from the fridge. Give them a try as they are new and hopefully they will improve over time. I plan on returning to sample more items on their menu.
Absolutely delicious and halal! The food was truly authentic. Coming from New York, I have high standards for food, but this restaurant definitely exceeded my expectations. We started with the mantu appetizer and then enjoyed the lamb shank qabuli and chicken qabuli for our main courses. The customer service was quick and attentive, even with a language barrier. I would definitely recommend a visit to anyone looking for great food. 10/10!
