Delicious delicious delicious and authentic Latin American food. Restaurant is on the north side of a Bloor. There is nothing fancy about this place but it is true authentic Latin food. Not Canadianized which is what I personally look for.Prices are decent. Orders came out fast and hot. Waitresses were great and friendly. Overall great experience. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Bella Managua:
The food and service was good. The Ceviche is overpriced (it’s mainly veggies with couple of piece of fish), I very much prefer the ceviche I had in other restaurant/ probably other styles. The fish dish had a small portion of fish but lots of...rice and plantins. View all feedback.
The food was simply prepared. no heavy garnishing or presentation. but it was fresh, hot and delicious. the fried fish and the grilled bark was amazing. reasonable price and a very satisfying meal.
Great restauran, the chef jesus morales, tasty cook I order a lomo de cerdo asado, con mi respectiva toña. his team is the best. thanks justine 10 of 10.
Very friendly staff and so many great things on the menu. really good sirloin steak and her fish of the day was amazing! the orange, cantaloupe shake was very refreshing.
From the moment when I made reservations about the phone (in Spanish, as she heard that I announced my name and knew that I spoke Spanish) to the moment when we arrived to find a lineup in front of the door, this place was a legit as it. the location/places: convenient location to find one or two green p 's, parking was not super hard to go. After we sit through the line, we watched the decoration. To be honest, it is a lot of a no-frills to come to the point, but scenic and secretly looking restaurant. the side walls are humble with some local hand carved masks, some maps of nicaragua and a few photos decorated. by now on the first wall they see when they (on the left side) they see tons of plaques and certificates of all the awards they have won (not so modest on the other side, but understandably so). the service: for the joint that was so crowded, the service was quite fast. the waitress who served us had a nice abhorrent and made us feel like we were home. eating: for appetizers we ordered yuccanadas (which was almost exactly the same as Colombian empanadas. the good), and ceviche (which was not the best ceviche I ever had). the most important courses are the real show-stoppers here. we ordered the following: pollo a la parilla, cerdo con yuca, carne asada, fish (can not remember exactly, but I think it was pez dorado or fish of the day meeresbass) and pollo jalapeño. almost all were abosultely delicious. everyone on my table loved what they ordered, except the cerdo con yuca. that came with an overwhelming amount of cauliflower and yuca on the small piece of pork stacked on a large plate. I must also add that if I had to choose between the two chicken dishes (pollo a la parilla vs. pollo jalapeño) I would definitely choose the pollo a la parilla. everything about it is perfection. the Gallo Pinto rice that came with the chicken dish is just as I remembered eating it in costa rica and I can dare to say that Nicaraguan style gallo pinto is better. in short, if you want to eat a really good place, there is a kitchen that is not as much in demand as many others, with good and fast service (and they do not worry too much about aesthetics) then please head to la bella managua . since we are in the times of covid 19, I would highly recommend it for them to reach for the exit. my family and I will return.
They have vegetarian options: Bandeja tipica validated ! Try also their Tamarind juice. Better to make a reservation as the restaurant is small. 5 stars for the service.
