Great pub serves inexpensive good quality eating and well maintained real ales. I always go to lunch when I'm in somerset. old pub with a beautiful atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. best to book in advance to avoid disappointment (especially for sunday roasts) as it is very popular. I want to give ten stars if I could!
Great pub, great food, great staff and great customers. close to watched for a week to stay and stumbled by falling over this place and what a happy accident it was. large selection of ales, the kabeljau was brilliant and the child parts are a good size.
Where do I start? the restaurant was quite quiet at the time of our evening visit. After I sat and handed over the menus I was quite surprised at the menu choice not much to choose and very expensive we ordered our meals and one of our party commented some of the foods that are brought out how to wether they were ate! Not yet decided, but no complaining after round 2!. I have eaten twice at the star, both paintings in very large groups 12 and every time the service was good. the first time that my partner and I were not impressed by the food, it didn't seem to be eating high quality that was promised and that we had heard of it. That said the second time we left, I thought that was delicious. the starter, head and gloomy was very nice. my partner enjoyed their capital and desert town, but was not a fan of their starter (pate). because it was such a large group that took the majority of the venue, I was pleasantly surprised by the height of the service. all foods that are in perfect...read more
