The traditional Devon country pub is known for serving the best Sunday roast ever tasted, making it a must-visit. The atmosphere is welcoming, with comfortable rooms for a good night's rest. With a great selection of drinks and meals served in generous portions, the Lowtrow Inn is a hidden gem worth discovering for a satisfying dining experience with family and friends.
We ate here 3 times in the week, which shows how good it was, not by the look outside, could do with a couple of baskets. beautiful reception from the barms and natives. all the meals were very good, exmoor burger. I had twice, lasagne with the best garlic brot I have ever eaten, and chips, huh wrap, falafel wrap both with chips and scampi.
Get to the local pub on exmoor and typical welcome. this is an old inn and they will have a wonderful reception from the employees and the locals. typical pub food, but with an additional swirl and carefree. I had made a house. chicken and hamcake in suet baked. pie was wonderful and serious incredible. my wife had a pot and a dump, just as good. the exmoor beer was just as good. menu changes quite often and has always surprises. beautiful open fires and a large beer garden in summer. really great place and so worth the trip to a special place
I have just been up to Lowtrow Cross for Sunday lunch and I have to say it is probably the best Sunday lunch I have ever had. Everything was cooked to perfection and the customer service was exceptional. Well done to all concerned and I...will definitely recommend this Inn for a visit
Such a lovely ambience, welcoming, relaxing, wood burner, excellent bar staff/waitress. Dogs welcomed. Food did not disappoint. Will be returning.
We were hosting a family cricket match in the area and wanted to find somewhere close by for members of the team to meet for a quick lunch beforehand. There were going to be between 15 and 30 of us! We contacted the Lowtrow Cross...Inn, and they were incredibly helpful. They made a special meal which would please young and old (to help us save time and keep things simple) the best lasagne, followed by apple pie and fantastic custard, for the whole part. Utterly delicious! The staff were so flexible with the constant inevitable changes in numbers, due to the pandemic. I would thoroughly recommend this fabulous very old pub. Its a proper pub with really good straightforward homely food. Thank you to all the great staff and management!!
