Harbour Fish - West Somerset

We were on a break in Watchet and arrived early before we could book in so decided to have some fish and chips and battered sausage and chips. The staff who served us were very pleasant I can’t fault. But the food was awful I...had battered cod which was probably the skinniest piece of fish you dad ever seen and when I went to eat it the batter it came away from the fish and the fish was soggy so I left that. My partner had battered sausage when he bit into it it was pale pink and tasteless obviously cheap and nasty. Not what you expect at the seaside I expected pure white chunky fresh fish but I got defrosted ****.

We had cod, scampi and chicken nuggets with chips. All very tasty. My husband had the cod which had nice crispy batter. Chips also tasted good too. Situated not far from the harbour so you can sit and eat with a view.

Hake and chips. very tasty. good portions. more cheerful sharpener from the two ladies. a total of four satisfied customers.

Positive first: fish was fresh. a short walk to watched harbour makes everything a little less bad. negative: undercooked soggy and indigestible batter. to ruin a fresh fish with this inedible mash. mushy heapsen really tasted strange chips a little overcooked. the service lasted 25...minutes, certainly not by cooking time, to bad organization, instead of falling to foot. consultancy is to control clearly and drive the road to the other place. Unfortunately, such start-ups will continue to act on unwary tourists who only visit once.

Do not pick up their fish and chips from here really bad fish and chips, had to throw it away when we returned to our holiday home. if I had received a refund, I could have been able to return the 30s. min round trip. the chips were boiled and dark brown . the fish was very small and thin with a soggy battery and covered in dark brown oil, which was obviously not changed for some time.
