I have been visiting The Chantry for 25 years and the appeal of home baking in an alfresco setting has always been an absolute joy. However, I am old school in liking linen on a restaurant table and full crockery in a cafe. Covid understandably forced a shift to disposable items but I take the opposite view to Michael T, as I feel that the permanent use of packaging diminishes the experience. Having recycling bins, t... This charming outdoor tea room is located in a lovely countryside setting next to an old church-like building. They serve delicious sandwiches, scones, cream teas, and ice cream alongside a great selection of drinks. The rustic atmosphere includes casual seating with no tablecloths and old chairs, but the charm of the place is undeniable. We will definitely be returning next summer. View all feedback.
