Oishi Japanese Cuisine - West Simsbury

We decided to order takeout from the restaurant (as they currently only offer takeout), and it took an hour and 20 minutes to receive our order. When we arrived, we were the only customers there, but we still had to wait an additional 15 minutes before finally receiving our sushi and chicken/fried dishes, making it a total of an hour and 35 minutes.

The food at this restaurant is delicious and reasonably priced! The Hibachi dishes are especially delicious.

The food at this restaurant is consistently amazing, especially the fillet hibachi which I love. The staff are very friendly, although they often do not answer the phone. I usually have to call multiple times before someone finally picks up. I used to enjoy dining inside before Covid, but unfortunately the seating area has not been reopened.

Fantastic food and solid portions for a good price. It’s a small operation so account for an hour lead time after placing your order to picking it up.

In person and phone service is always great, food is almost always very good. The Oishi Roll is great! Wish they would open back up for dining in, but understand the situation.
