We tried the Bark on Wake and it was incredible. The German potato salad was warm and delicious, especially when paired with the Schwein. We stumbled upon this place by the canal and decided to give it a try, and we're so glad we did. It has a lot of history with the Sabl family. Definitely worth a visit! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Schwabl's:
The staff at this restaurant is very unfriendly. On top of that, they even charge for tap water! In hot weather, when most people just want to have water with their meal, they are forced to purchase another drink. The menu is overpriced and the food quality is average at best. You're better off grabbing a sandwich somewhere else. View all feedback.

Roast beef on week as good not amazing, Anderson’s is just as good. They actually charge for water. They charge 1.69 for a bottle of water . French fries didn’t really have much taste.
Schwabl's never disappoints. The food is delicious and the staff make you feel like family. Best beef on weck in the world.
Decided to stop here for lunch on short work day.Totally disappointed with fish fry I had. Paid bill gave 20 percent gratuity. I will never go there again.Way overpriced and substandard quality. Worst fish fry I ever had.. Overcooked with no taste..French fries had a sourness to them.Bread was on stales side.Coleslaw wasn't that good either. Lesson learned.Empty parking lot lately says it all.
Sandwich with gravy was freaking amaZing… lots of history, and the service was awesome.
